Help us protect more woodland
for more communities

Every contribution to National Woodlands is reinvested directly into identifying, restoring and managing land and woodland for community benefit. This is not a promise — it is written into our constitution.

Your support creates lasting change

National Woodlands is a Community Interest Company. Our CIC structure means that any surplus we generate — including donations and supporter contributions — is legally required to be reinvested in our community purpose: the restoration and stewardship of land and woodland for public benefit.

We are not a charity in the traditional sense. We do not distribute grants or ask for money to cover overhead for its own sake. When you support National Woodlands, your contribution goes towards practical, measurable activity: land acquisition, tree planting, habitat restoration, education programmes and community stewardship.

We are at the beginning of our journey. Early support is especially valuable — it helps us move faster, take on more sites, and build the evidence base that unlocks further public and grant funding.

⚖️

Your money, legally protected

National Woodlands is subject to the CIC asset lock. Every penny we receive — including supporter contributions — can only ever be used for our community purpose or transferred to another asset-locked organisation.

This is regulated by the CIC Regulator, an independent body within Companies House.
